In 2016, our founder was looking for the best solution to the hinges breaking on his coolers. A firefighter relative suggested using fire hose material and sent him a section of expired hose. After hand cutting hinges, testing, and sharing them with friends and family, he began selling them. The parts are now made from new, factory scrap hose, and professionally manufactured in the USA. We have sold more than 160,000 cooler parts including Hinges, Latches, and Lid Straps.

The material is flexible and allows for tight lid closure plus impact resistance. It's ozone and chemical resistant with a nitrile/PVC through-the-weave design. It's tougher and more durable than typical plastic parts.
